Dear Editor,
Archaeopteryx could not be the ancestor of all birds even
if evolution made sense. ("Lifestyles of the Dinosaur" October
28.) Protoavis, discovered in West Texas in 1986, is even more birdlike" than Archaeopteryx and dated as 75 million years older.
I wish that reporters were as suspicious of scientists as
they are of politicians. There are enough "mysterious gaps" in
standard evolutionary propaganda to hide countless Pulitzer Prizes. The problem is that the principle motive for maintaining the deception is shared by the vast majority of potential investigators -- the desire to avoid being responsible to a Creator.
