"The Logic of Fossil Interpretation"
Any conclusion reached by the use of data must have a sound reasoning system. Any data can be alleged to "prove" anything if we are willing to accept faulty reasoning. Evolutionary theory in general and specifically fossil reasoning is weak. Often creationists jump to the defense of a position when challenged needlessly. We will look at the many problems inherent in attempting to gain insight about the origin of a species by examining the burial of individuals. This will be an advanced level presentation for high school and above.
Russell Arndts earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Louisiana State University in 1968, and returned to St. Cloud State University to teach Chemistry. He was promoted to Full Professor in 1970.
In 1975 he was challenged to look at the theory of evolution by a group of Inter-Varsity students. He was surprised at the weakness of the evolutionary theory and soon learned that the weakness is in the logic system being used to "prove" evolution. In the early 80's, he worked on the mixing model as an alternative to isochrons with Bill Overn, and was a featured speaker at the 1983 National Creation Conference held in the Twin Cities.
Having retired in August of 1999, much of his time is involved in helping grandsons in their lawn mowing and snow blowing businesses. His involvement with church involves helping Christians understand the role of the Christian worldview in their thinking, and especially the role of Creation in the Christian's worldview. Present writings have to do with the big bang and the reasoning process used by evolutionists.

"ANSWERS THAT FRUSTRATE:
How Evolutionists avoid the questions we all want answered"
Dave Stoltzmann
optical designer of lens systems
What is the effect of abortions on the U.S. population? was a question posed to Parade Magazine's Marilyn vos Savant in the 20 Feb 2002 issue. Her answer:
"The effect is large. The National Center for Health Statistics reports that, in the U.S., about 6,192,000 pregnancies concluded in 1997 (the latest figures available). Of those, 1,330,000 were aborted."
The same column that day gave three times the ink to a question and answer about the Sandman (and the Tooth Fairy). How can someone "who is listed in the 'Guinness Book of World Records' Hall of Fame for 'Highest I.Q.' even offer a four-word answer to her readers, and expect them to be satisfied? How can evolutionists continue to dodge questions about the origin of life and its staggering information content, and expect the American public to be satisfied?
Unfortunately, the Parade article is a commonplace example of how frustratingly deficient all the answers by evolutionists are when it comes to answering very simple questions about our origin, and what those answers mean to how we live our lives. Carl Sagan did an even worse job of discussing the answers to how life originated in many of his books, once again leaving the reader frustrated.
Dave Stoltzmann's talk will explore a number of "non-answers" given by evolutionists when they discuss life and its origin. Come hear some simple straightforward common-sense questions that never seem to get any detailed answers. "There are certain forms of stupidity that one has to be highly intelligent and educated to commit" (former atheist Dr. J. Budziszewski).

Our community is asking with the rest of the Country "Why is there so much violence?" Want to be shown real answers from reliable known sources, and what can be done to reverse the threat and violence in our lives and community? This is the same information that the instructor presented to the Minnesota State Legislature January 2001. On June 13, 2001, the US Senate passed bill S1-A799 asking educators to discuss information presented in this class with their students.
This easy to understand information is targeted to educate the public in the Worldviews controversy surrounding Creation Science and Evolution Theory. The focus is to make known what individuals and the community can do to prevent and reduce not only violent crime, but other offences to humanity as well, individually and nationally. There is an underlying reason why we are wrestling with increased tolerance for disrespect, failure and unrest in our lives and world issues.
The class is designed to expose the "why" using publicly available information so you can make informed, educated decisions. Some questions to be answered are: Should known fraud and/or deceit be taught as science? What is the real issue behind suppressing information? Why are historically received documents being changed? Is there a social impact from withholding important information? The myth that a person must be a Christian to be a creationist; and the difference between "Creation Science" and "Biblical Creation Science" will also be presented. Actual graphics, illustrations and evidence are presented, parental guidance suggested, not recommended for young children.

Co-Author with Chuck Colson of "How Now Shall We Live"
"Darwin and the Berenstain Bears: How Evolution Changed American Life."
* Learn the latest on the controversy over teaching evolution in Ohio
* Find out about the design movement and its strategy.
* Bone up on the newest developments in the creation-evolution debate.
* Discover the shocking ways evolution is being extended into the moral arena.
Abstract:
Nancy Pearcey's great gift is in elucidating the moral and philosophical implications of evolution. Her talk will also cover the controversy over teaching Darwinism that is going on right now in Ohio, as well as an update on the scientific debate itself -- both the negative evidence against Darwinian evolution and the positive case for intelligent design. Finally there will be an analysis of evolutionary psychology (a revised version of sociobiology), and how it is extending evolution into a comprehensive worldview that can honestly be described as shocking.
Biography
Nancy R. Pearcey is a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute and
managing editor of the science journal "Origins and Design." She
became a Christian while studying under Francis Schaeffer at L'Abri
Fellowship in Switzerland, and went on to earn a master's degree
from Covenant Theological Seminary, followed by graduate work in
history of philosophy at the Institute for Christian Studies in
Toronto. She also studied violin at Iowa State University and in
Heidelberg, Germany.
Mrs. Pearcey has been publishing articles on Christian worldview
since 1977, when she began writing for the Bible-Science
Newsletter, a position she held for 13 years. In 1991, she became
the founding editor of "BreakPoint," a daily radio commentary
program, and was executive editor of the program for nearly nine
years. She was also policy director and senior fellow of the
Wilberforce Forum. Her articles have appeared in The Washington
Times, Human Events, First Things, Books & Culture, World, The
Human Life Review, Christianity Today, The World & I, and the
Regent University Law Review. She is currently on the editorial
board of Salem Communications Network, and a regular commentator on
Public Square Radio. She is coauthor of the books "How Now Shall We

Dr. Don Chittick, Answers in Genesis guest lecturer
For Dan Nuckols' view on how evolutionists respond to this evidence,
What was man like before and after the Flood? Was he an ape-like subhuman, or was he smarter then modern man? What do artifacts actually tell us about people 3000 to 4000 years ago? Dr. Chittick has made an exhaustive study of what's known about man prior to the tower of Babel. His findings, when compared to the first few chapters of Genesis, will surprise and encourage you. Books by Dr. Chittick were available for purchase.
Dr. Donald Chittick, an Answers in Genesis guest lecturer, is a highly effective and experienced speaker on the topics of origins and Earth history, with a special interest in the first eleven chapters of Genesis.
Dr. Chittick earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Oregon State University. For many years, he served as chairman of the division of Natural Sciences at George Fox University in Oregon. Since 1988, he has been an adjunct professor of chemistry at the Institute for Creation Research in the San Diego area. University. He was Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Puget Sound and Professor and Head of Natural Sciences at George Fox College. He also holds patents on alternate fuels and in "programmed instruction." He has traveled and lectured in many countries.
As an inventor, Dr. Chittick holds several U.S. and foreign patents and is active in the area of alternate fuels. He also continues an interest in the homeschooling movement.
He and his family also run a ministry entitled 'Creation Compass'. With the help of his wife Donna he now devotes the majority of his time to conducting seminars on science and the Bible, speaking both in the U.S. and abroad. He speaks in schools and universities in addition to churches.

"Joseph in Egypt: Fact or Fiction?"
Dr. Charles Aling, Professor of History at Northwestern College
Dr. Charles Aling, Professor of History at Northwestern College for the past sixteen years, earned his Ph.D. in Ancient History and Egyptology from the University of Minnesota. In addition to his tenure in the classroom, Dr. Aling has been Assistant Field Director on two archaeological expeditions to the Valley of the Kings in Egypt - discovering mummies and lost treasures from the times of the Pharaohs!
Did the Biblical Joseph really live in Egypt, rising from slavery to high office in the Egyptian government? If so, when was this and how does his career fit into Egyptian history as we know it today? While the name of Joseph has never been found in any Egyptian texts, there is much authentic Egyptian coloring in the Joseph Story in Genesis. We shall place Joseph into Egyptian history, examining and correlating biblical passages with recent archaeological discoveries, with what is known of Egyptian titles, and with slavery customs during the time he would have been in Egypt.

Dr. Jed Macosko
Dr. Macosko who is currently at the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry of La Sierra University in Riverside, California, is doing cutting edge research on the structure and function of the molecular machines in living cells. He is also an excellent communicator. Dr. Philip Johnson, godfather of the Intelligent Design movement, says of this lecture: "I found the whole presentation stunning."
One who saw his presentation at the University of Minnesota last fall wrote:
Jed Macosko's November 9th lecture "Life's Molecular Machines: By Chance
or
By Design?" was more than "stunning" (to use your quote from his
presentation of the same topic at Calvin College). Countless people
came
up to me that night (and others e-mailed later): "marvelous",
"wonderfully
prepared for any and all questions", "the best of the 40 or 50
presentations
that I have seen (on science and faith)".
Dr. Macosko describes his presentation as, "a guided tour of the inner
workings of a cell", "a case for an intelligent designer behind the
intricacies of biological molecular machines", or "reasons to reconsider
the design hypothesis based on recent biological findings from inside
the cell".
Through a virtual tour of life's molecular machines, Dr. Macosko makes a visually compelling case for the intelligent origin of life. He offers examples of "biological machines" which he and fellow researchers study utilizing single-molecule techniques. This is an exciting multimedia presentation that makes molecular biology understandable to young and old alike.

Home School Science Fair
Have you been to the 2001 or 2002 Home School Science Fairs? They are great! Some of the best and brightest kids in Minnesota were there. You could have learned how stable the Ark was in strong winds, how to, and how not to make yogurt, how weight effects the speed of a sled, and how to get energy from chicken droppings. Over 60 projects were up for display with many passersby stopping to check them out. It was a wonderful opportunity to place a Christian viewpoint of science before the public. MINNESOTA COLLOQUIUM IN THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Rethinking the History of Species: Why a Cynical View Might Help
Gordon McOuat, History of Science and Technology Program,
Kings College, Halifax
Note that this was not a creationist talk but of interest to creationists.
Abstract:
This paper is about the history and philosophy of natural
kinds. It seeks to destablise a strongly entrenched view about species
(models for natural kinds talk until the mid nineteenth century):
namely, that before Darwin everybody was an essentialist (or a
nominalist) about species and natural kinds, while after Darwin we all
should have gone populational. By exploring naturalist debates and
philosophical movements in the immediate pre- and post-Darwinian period,
it will re-examine what has been cynically called the "cynical" view of
species, where a species is "whatever a [competent] naturalist says it
is". It also may help us recover earlier notions of natural kinds
mislaid in the late nineteenth century.

"Segregation in Granular Mixtures or Sandpiles,
Traffic Jams and the Neolithic Transition"
Professor Jim Kakalios
ABSTRACT:
This talk reviewed the surprising properties of one of nature's most common
materials -- sand. An understanding of the basic mechanisms underlying the
statics and dynamics of granular materials, such as powders and grains, is
significant for many industrial (including pharmaceutical, construction and
agricultural) applications and geophysical problems. Such questions as when
will a collections of grains of sand form a stable pile, and under what
conditions will an avalanche occur, have recently attracted the attention of
the Physics community, though they are well known to Civil, Chemical and
Mechanical Engineers. A striking property of granular media is the tendency
for an initially homogeneous granular mixture to segregate by size or mass
when shaken, rotated or simply poured. For example, when a binary mixture of
sand and sugar is poured into a vertical Hele-Shaw cell, the mixture
spontaneously forms stratified alternating layers of nearly pure sand and
sugar, not unlike the striation patterns observed in sandstone. When a
cylinder partially filled with a binary mixture of large and small granular
materials is tipped on its side so that its long axis is horizontal, and then
rotated like a drum about that axis, the individual species may segregate
into alternating bands of relatively pure single concentrations along the
axis of rotation, like rings on a finger. In this talk I argue that an
analysis of the Axial Segregation effect is relevant to understanding the
spontaneous formation of traffic jams in highway flow, and the wave of
advance of the transition from hunter-gatherer to agricultural means of food
production (the Neolithic transition).

Dr. Phillip Johnson, Walter Remine, Russ McGlenn
Moderated by Jeff Siemon of Search Ministries
Grace Church of Edina, Edina, MN
Dr. Phillip Johnson is described by Chuck Colson as "... a law professor at University of California at Berkeley -- the quintessential liberal university. Once a died-in-the-wool atheist, Johnson came to faith in Christ. And since then he has shaken up the scientific community with his books and powerful debates, punching holes in today's Darwinist orthodoxy."
This should be an excellent conference with an opportunity to ask questions of Dr. Johnson. about evolution, as one of the break out sessions will be dedicated to that.
Walter ReMine was born and grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and received his BSEE and MSEE degrees at the University of Minnesota in 1974 and 1977, with an emphasis on signal processing and pattern recognition. This would later help him in studying life's biological patterns and recognizing their meaning. His strong math background would prove indispensable in studying the claims of evolutionary genetics. Mr. ReMine has been active in the creation/evolution controversy since his college years writing articles for magazines, attending board meetings, as well as, organizing and speaking at conferences and culminating in his treatise, The Biotic Message. Russ McGlenn, is a theology major, Christian Ed minor, game inventor, Creation Science teacher, explorer, dinosaur hunter, photographer, and national camp, school, and seminar speaker. He specializes in hands-on demonstrations of the truths of God's Word. He maintains that pseudo science, built on philosophy not laboratory proven experiments, is poor science and is hurting the discovery of God's beneficial laws for mankind. Mr. McGlenn is also the author of three books. He is also a dynamic teacher whose enthusiasm for his subject matter is infectious to those who attend his seminars. "Why the Big Bang is not a Valid Cosmological Concept."
Bob Helfinstine, TCCSA President
Mr. Helfinstine is a retired guidance-system engineer with Honeywell. The presentation began with a brief history of the Big Bang and then introduced results of quasar research which began to cast doubt on
the validity of the concept. The red shift of light from galaxies and
quasars, which has been the basis for the Big Bang, has specific
characteristics not consistent with a velocity-distance interpretation. A
scientific explanation of red shift was given as well as other
supporting evidence for a young universe.

Fox-in-the-Valley (Russ McGlenn)
Meetings Are Free and Open To The Public
Fox-in-the-Valley (Russ McGlenn) is of Native American decent. He
presents a multimedia program of the Christian story of Pocahontas using slides,
costumes, and over 100 Indian artifact reproductions.
Before and after the main program, Fox-in-the-Valley had Indian games for all ages to try out. Including a demonstration of the ancient spear throwing and hunting system used by native peoples to hunt mammoth. The games will ran from 7:00 to 7:30 and approximately 9:00 to 9:30 PM in the hallway and in room 116.
Your Native American friends would have enjoyed this night too.
Questions answered:
Where are Native Americans in the Bible?
How might the ancient written record of Pocahontas' people (The Wallam
Olum) have influenced her to follow God?
What was her real relationship to John Smith?
Was he her boyfriend?
Why was she kidnapped by the Governor of Jamestown?
What happened to her descendants?
Fox-in-the-Valley's great grandmother was Ojibway, and Mr. Fox has done
extensive research to find out about his Native American ancestors, which is evident
in the wealth of information and artifacts he has collected and made. This is an
exceptionally fine program that will inform as well as inspire, as you see God's hand in the lives of Native American peoples.

Refreshments will also be served, and the seminar is free and open to the public who may attend any part or all of the meetings.
Note That Mr. Koukl holds an old universe position. For a commentary by TCCSA, click HERE.
This is recommended for 7th graders and up, although all adults are encouraged to attend if looking for ways to discuss this issue with any age child.
It is especially pertinent because of the teaching children receive in the school regarding evolution, recent magazine articles, a PBS series on Evolution, and the decision of Dist. 196 last year to refuse two books on Intelligent Design for their library.

Walt Brown's Video, "GOD'S POWER & SCRIPTURE'S AUTHORITY"
Professional video, nice overview of creation/flood evidences. Discussion after.
About The Author
Walt Brown received a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow. He has taught college courses in physics, mathematics, and computer science. Brown is a retired full colonel (Air Force), West Point graduate, and former Army ranger and paratrooper. Assignments during his 21 years in the military included: Director of Benet Research, Development, and Engineering Laboratories in Albany, New York; tenured associate professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy; and Chief of Science and Technology Studies at the Air War College. For most of his life Walt Brown was an evolutionist, but after many years of study, he became convinced of the scientific validity of creation and a global flood. Since retiring from the military in 1980, Dr. Brown has been the Director of the Center for Scientific Creation and has been involved full time in research, writing, and speaking on origins.
Walter Brown's Comprehensive Book "In The Beginning" will be on sale.
In the Beginning is a great creation science book for teens and adults. It's easy to read, carefully researched, meticulously documented, and offers answers to the most important questions of the origins controversy. Besides the usual creation-science approach to questions about the historicity of Genesis and what happened to make the dinosaurs extinct, the book is unique in explaining for the first time how twenty-five major earth features -- including mountains, volcanoes, the Grand Canyon, and ice ages -- resulted from a worldwide flood. At the same time, it reveals serious yet little-known problems with many evolutionist ideas about earth history and the origin of life -- including many ideas that evolutionists themselves have discarded, but are still taught as fact in children's textbooks. You owe it to yourself to get this book.

We want to offer them a $150 scholarship if they can raise an additional $100 plus travel expenses. Some of these kids make life-changing decisions while attending camp.
We are supported by teaching home-school students as well as by interested congregations and individuals. Russ would like to present his missions outreach to your church Missions Convention. Please consider inviting him. As the Lord provides, we reach out to Native American and foreign-born communities with the Creation message. Will you help? All gifts made out to TCCSA are tax deductible. Please specify what you want your gift used for.

Jill Whitlock -
A Geologist Who Became A Creationist
"CREATION AND FLOOD GEOLOGY"
May 15, 2001, 7:30 p.m. Totino Fine Arts Center, Rm. 115, Northwestern College, 3003 North Snelling, Roseville Minnesota
Author, Home Educator and Speaker from Fort Myers, FL. Jill was the first female geologist in Denver and the third ever trained at Texas A & M University. A former evolutionary geologist, she has for the past 16 years applied her expertise in studying and compiling information on Creation Science. She is home schooling her own children and providing excellent resources for other home schoolers including the website Media Angels.) Co-author of Creation teaching books on Science, Astronomy, Anatomy, Geology and more, she is also a dynamic speaker who reaches all ages. Women and youth especially will enjoy as she shares her experiences and vast knowledge.
Jill Whitlock believed that evolution was the way life and the world began. She was trained as an evolutionist and worked as a geologist for 10 years after graduating from Texas A & M University. She worked as a Chief Well Log Analyst for the Rocky Mountain Region and as Senior Staff Exploration Geologist for an oil company in Denver, Colorado. Jill accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior in Dec. 1983 and began praying and studying about the creation vs. evolution question. The Lord was faithful and brought many people into her path who started her on the way to becoming a Flood Geologist and a young earth Creationist. Jill has spent over 12 years studying and compiling information on Creation Science and is available for seminars.

Sioux Falls, SD
BOB COMPTON, DVM, Ph.D.
Answered those questions and more in his talk:
Life, Information, God and His Word:
Breaking the Stranglehold of Materialism.
OVERVIEW OF PRESENTATION: Information is not only essential to all biological
mechanisms involved with life; it is also central to all of mankind's
activities. What is the true nature of biological information and why might
it be critically important to Christians?
A scientific examination of the basic nature of information reveals it to be
the most powerful earthly weapon available for destroying the stranglehold
that materialism/
evolutionism has on the Church and our nation.
OTHER QUESTIONS ANSWERED (IN EVERYDAY LANGUAGE):
* What is the foundational assumption of modern science?
* Why does this assumption reject God's existence?
* How does a scientific understanding of biological information falsify this
basic assumption of modern science?
* How can we use our understanding of information to scientifically and
logically establish the existence and nature of God and the nature of man?
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Bob Compton is an international consultant in immunology and infectious
diseases of cattle. He is a doctor of veterinarian medicine and a doctor of
philosophy in physiology. He and his wife Patty live in Midvale, Idaho and
are actively engaged in reestablishing the Biblical worldview in Idaho and
the nation. His enthusiasm is infectious and his knowledge is extensive!

The Big Bang Cosmology is promoted so heavily that most people are unaware of an alternative or the scientific advantages of a Creationist Cosmology. Although the Bible declares the origin of the universe and even describes its basic features, many creationists are unaware of the nature of the heavens and the place of earth in the universe. "A Creationist Cosmology" presents a description of the universe that answers fundamental questions based on the revelations of the Prophets and the scientific discoveries of Bergman and Lucas on the nature of matter. Answers are offered to such fundamental questions as:
1. Is the earth at the center of the universe?
2. Is the earth in motion?
3. Is the universe expanding?
4. How old and how big is the universe?
5. What is the meaning of red-shifted starlight?
6. Did the universe create itself?
7. Does Nature create elementary particles?
8. Does space have properties?
9. Do chance events occur in the universe?
10. Are there other inhabited planets?
11. How does gravity shape the universe?
12. Do we see order or chaos in the universe?
"A Common Sense Approach to the Atom"
The Common Sense model of the atom is based on the Scientific Method and Worldview Principles that most people understand and accept. This presentation reviews ancient Greek Science and progress made in the Classical Period. Then Quantum Theory and the new Electric Theory of Matter are compared in terms of the Scientific Method and basic Worldview Principles on the nature of things in the universe.

Dinosaur Dig Report
Russ McGlenn presented a report on his activities this past summer while digging for fossils in the Badlands of South Dakota. Each summer he leads groups to some exotic location to dig for evidence of extinct creatures. In addition, he tries to find creatures thought extinct but with mounting evidence they still exist. For some reason he thinks finding a dinosaur with skin and muscle on it's bones might be fun. Maybe you will want to join him this summer on one of his fabulous excursions.

Career Highlights of a Creation Pioneer
and Answer Audience Questions
Meeting held at Grace Church of Roseville
Dr. Duane Gish, internationally noted author, speaker and debater was our personal guest for this meeting. For more than 40 years Dr. Gish has been an outspoken leader in the Creation movement in the United States and around the world. He has experienced both high praise from allies and bitter attacks by enemies. At Berkley, his alma mater and long considered a bastion of free speech, he was not even allowed to speak by hecklers who were unhindered by campus authorities.
This was an unusual opportunity to see Dr. Gish in a less formal setting and ask questions. Find out more about what makes him tick and where his strength lies. Dr. Gish is -- amazingly -- 79 years old and has incredible physical and intellectual energy! Many of his books were on sale and could be autographed.
this is one of the last speaking engagements because Dr. Gish told us that he has always said that when he turned 80, he would ask for an early retirement.

"Darwinism Comes To America"*
"History of Scientific Creationism"*
Dr. Ronald Numbers, William Coleman Professor of History of Science and Medicine, University of Wisconsin
*Dr. Numbers is a prominent critic of creationism.
Professor Numbers spoke on Thursday on the effect of Darwin on America. His main thesis was that America was already beginning to accept the nebular hypothesis as the origin of the solar system over a long period of time and the geologic ages of Lyell as the source of the rocks, so that Darwin was just another aspect of seeing the world as in a slow process of formation. Yet many of those in favor of Darwin had reservations about some parts and many of those opposed accepted some parts of Darwin's thesis.
Dr. Numbers pointed out that Darwin's loss of faith came because his father died as a good man but an unbeliever and Charles could not accept that his father might be burning in hell. The final straw came as his favorite daughter, Annie, died and Charles could not accept that a loving creator would allow such a thing to happen.
Interestingly, in the question time, Dr. Numbers was asked about the intelligent design movement and said he did not think it was a good idea to reintroduce the supernatural into science, although he did admit in one on one questioning afterwards that it was a logical error to believe that the scope of science was all of reality. He also said that his own fall from faith came as a result of investigating the origin of the church he was raised in, The Seventh Day Adventists.
Numbers has specialized in the history of evangelical challenges to biological evolution. His publications include Darwinism Comes to America; The Creationists: The Evolution of Scientific Creationism; and God and Nature: Historical Essays on the Encounter between Christianity and Science.

Worldview Weekend
October 20 - 21, 2000
What is a "World View"? Do you get the impression that it is a highly theoretical academic topic of no use to real people? Well, we all have a world view and we interpret everything we experience through its filter. If we do not understand worldview differences, we fail to see where the problem lies in communicating with others.
Creation and evolution are foundations for two diametrically opposed worldviews.
The two sides do not even speak the same language.

"Confronting Secular
Journalists About the Science of Evolution."
For over five years, Dave Stoltzmann has written letters and articles to various editors, about the physics and probabilities associated with evolution. No response has ever been given to these submissions, and one must ask the question of how effective are such attempts at communication.
Even Marilyn Vos Savant ("Ask Marilyn" column in Parade Magazine) will not answer simple probability questions that discredit evolution, despite the books she publishes (The Power of Logical Thinking) that give example after example of how to use probabilities correctly to solve everyday questions.
Lately, very narrow-interest publications like Physics Today and Sky & Telescope have gone out of their way to publish negative editorials critical of the Kansas School Board decisions. Why do these editors feel they have a "scientific" duty to attack non-evolutionary points of view? And why are no rebuttals allowed in their magazines, after they themselves throw the first punch?
Dave Stoltzmann illustrated some very simple examples of how 'random-chance purposeless undirected' processes (evolution, and others) get the wrong answer 100% of the time, and only a directed process (Creation) can put order and complexity into anything useful.
He used examples from his own field of work, optical design of lens systems, to illustrate how scientists use creative effort rather than random chance to solve their problems, because random chance always produces garbage rather than complexity. Evolutionary scientists know this, but choose to believe the opposite of the mathematical facts rather than have to admit to a Creator.

The 1925 Dayton, Tennessee Scopes Trial:
The Legend Is Far More Myth Than Reality!
You heard it all at the September 19, 2000 Meeting
Lyndon Griffin
What? You didn't? Well, then contact Lehrke Productions about the tape
The Scopes Trial marked the beginning of the ACLU's strategy of winning the battle for public opinion by skillful use of mass media, relying on image rather than intellect.
Note the recent quotation below:
[From the "Creation 'Science' Debunked" Home Page.] "For most of us, the
controversy over creation and evolution was settled way back in 1925, when
Clarence Darrow eviscerated William Jennings Bryan in a country courtroom in
Dayton, Tennessee. However, a growing number of recent attempts to remove
evolutionary theory from the schoolroom, in favor of a "scientific" version
of the Biblical Genesis story, demonstrates that the anti-evolutionist
movement is still alive and well in America."
September 14 - 15, 2000
Prof. Phillip Johnson was in Town
Dr. Philip Johnson, in meetings sponsored by The MacLaurin Institute, spoke on Thursday, Sept. 14 at Christ Presbyterian Church, on the topic of "The Wedge of Truth: A Simple Guide to Understanding the Creation/Evolution Controversy".
He also spoke on Friday, Sept. 15, 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the University
of Minnesota,on "The Case for Intelligent Design: Where Darwin and Dawkins Went Wrong." (His campus visit was sponsored by Search Ministries, MacLaurin Institute, and various other campus ministries.) He called for open discussion of the evidence for and against Darwinian evolution and pointed out the ways that language is used to obscure the issue, for instance pointing out that variations of finches beaks does not explain molecules to man evolution. The questions indicated that this was a new concept to some of the attendees.
Dr. Philip Johnson has become a rallying point for over 40 scholars who are
writing books and articles and leading conferences on what is now known as
the Intelligent Design Movement. Well-known scholars include Dr. Michael Behe, author of Darwin's Black Box, and Dr. William Dembski, whose book The Design Inference is published by Cambridge University Press. Several new scholarly works by other movement scholars are on the presses.
Many of Johnson's books as well as those of his colleagues as seen on the Intelligent Design Movement website will be on sale at the
monthly TCCSA meetings listed here or by contacting John Nuckols.
